EVERYTHING ON THIS TRACK

Three free tools, one exam.

Read, practice, drill. Nothing here asks for an account, a card, or an email address.

Check your own state and county first.

Food handler rules are set locally, not nationally. Some states require a card for every food employee, some require it only in certain counties, and some accept training that is not ServSafe at all. Deadlines after hire and renewal periods differ too.

Before you pay for any exam, ask your employer which certificate they need and confirm it with your local health department. That call takes five minutes and is the only authoritative answer.

What this site does, and what it cannot do.

This is preparation. The lessons, questions and flashcards here are written to the ServSafe 9th Edition so that the material you revise is the material the exam tests.

We cannot issue a food handler card or certificate, and no score here is a certification or a prediction of your official result. You sit the real exam through ServSafe or another program your jurisdiction accepts, and they issue the credential.

Running the kitchen rather than working in it?

The ServSafe Manager exam is a different, longer test: 90 questions in 120 minutes, proctored, passing at 70%, and valid five years. It covers HACCP plans, active managerial control, facility design and pest management, none of which is on the Food Handler syllabus.
